Banjo hardware is rather difficult to obtain here and expensive , so as a functional alternative I modify small hooks that are used for kitchenshelfs (shown on the left). Nowadays I also use "real" banjo hooks instead of the hooks in the picture left.
A tonering, supporting the head, is made of 6 mm aluminium tube and the tension-hoop is 4 mm brass. I bend them with a so called ring-roller.
